Sounds like it has a TPMS on it, which is special valve stems. And possibly dealer only.

What I was thinking.

I know NAPA has vale stem caps that have a o-ring in them.

Did you take the cap off while under water and make sure the core wasn't leaking?

No, I didn't take the cap off while under water. The car does have the TPMS on it. And of course Suzuki Auto is no longer in business in USA and there is a recall on the car that I have been trying to get fixed as well...... The fun never stops!

wow.. i didn't know suzuki was OOB in USA.

I remember back in late 08 or early 09 i was looking for an econo car for the wife and briefly thought about suz.

glad I didn't go there!

ps. put a lil soapy water on the valve core with it facing up and see if a micro bubble forms.

Or spit on it. Take finger and place some saliva on the valve stem and if the core is leaking it will bubble.
