Get your tires filled with foam - not cheap but will settle your inflation issues permanently. Helps in other areas, too.

But loading with foam prevents increasing or decreasing pressure. When my loader is on, the pressure is 35 PSI (or a bit more). When it's off (most of the mowing season), I reduce it to 20-25 PSI (bit more comfortable and I'd guess it reduces shock loads to the front axle).
