I was wondering how well the tire plug kits work on large rear fluid filled tractor tires? I have a Kubota L3830 and have put slime in the front tires which have handled a small puncture. Do the plugs they sell really seal up small leaks? Thanks - any coments from those who have used them would be appreciated - Mike

Plugs work really well, I use them quite regularly and SWMBO probably even uses them more then I. They can complemnent slime quite well also.

That said, when you said large FLUID FILLED rear tires, I am assuming you are speaking of ballasted tires, and the ballasts I can think of off hand, CC or Antifreeze or WW fluid, would prevent the plugs I use from working.

Large tractor tubeless tractor tire with just air, there are probably 4 or 5 plugs in each of the rear tires of our tractor.

Mike I have used a simple plug kit once on a antifreeze filled rear tire. I know it held for like 2 or 3 years.

Mike, turn the tire so the leak is at the top with the air space. Then use a plug as you would on a normally air filled tire. It should hold up fine.
