I did find an answer. I found that the tires on these rigs are a tiny bit leaky, unlike modern car tires. So if the tractor sits a few weeks, maybe a month - pressure can drop to 20lbs or so easily.

But the sidewalls are stiff and the tire looks normal. So you get in the tractor, drive off, lift a load and turn and it pops loose from underinflation.

So the answers are:
1 - check tire pressures
2 - fill w/ foam instead
3 - fill w/ liquid sealant
4 - use tubes (not desirable in my book)

I now check and inflate the front tires regularly. That was the mistake. The fluid filled rear tires do not appear to have this problem at all. They do not "use" air but the front tires surely do.

Hey, I appreciate the response. I understand what you are saying, but my truck tires don't bleed down from lack of use.

Also, I put all of my tires to the recommended psi and cut 2.5 acres. The next day, my front right tire was down considerably. All four tires were down a little, but that one was down a lot. I guess it must have a leak or something. Perhaps, I have a leak and in addition to that, I need to check my air pressure more frequently. But my brother-in-law has a Ford 2120 and only rarely checks his tire pressure.

What do you think about that?

Thanks for your time.

Bryan

I think you have a hole in your tire!

Get a product called SLIME and put it in all 4 tires. Your problem will go away. I have lots of thorn trees on my property and my tires look like porcupines. SLIME solved the problem completely.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. What size container does SLIME come in? How can I figure out how much to put in each tire? I guess if I get some, I could probably read the directions. But what fun would that be???

Thanks,

Bryan
