Excellent! I will look for them!

I'm amazed you have time for anything else, like reading TBN. Crush season around here is typified by people running around with their hair on fire for about sixty days as the different varietals mature.

All the best,

Peter

Ponytug,

Tanunda, no I don't have a label, fruit is sold to Barossa Valley Estate (E & E, Ebenezer and E - Minor are in the range sold into the US.

Fruit is also sold to Peter Lehmann Wines and R Wines, both also sold in the US, the latter based in the US and owned I think, by Dan Phillips.

I grow Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Grenache, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Semillon and Gerwurtztraminer.

Have just started the 08 harvest, did Pinot last Wed. and Traminer will be harvested Sun. night for Mon. delivery.

We ponder grapes up here. We battle light issues and the weather narrows our choices of grapes. The thing I see though is that everyone is growing grapes. Just exactly how much wine can people drink? My gut tells me that a lot of people in the area are going to be as surprised as those who planted christmas trees in the near future.

But for Australia, you guys make a great wine so more power to you!

Carl

ps. Later today I will have photos of the protectors that have been welded on my wheel stems...

And finally, I had 3 of my tires tubed. My intent was to put in some Gemplers Super Junk that I have had sitting for nearly a year.

Well best laid plans.. The caps were made up and welded on, based on my current tubed tires. Dropped them off at the same tire store and dangit, they used different tubes. These had short little stems, so they had to put stem extenders on, and they point in an entirely different direction. I complained to the shop manager but he said this was all they would ever be getting in.

Grumble... Grumble.. Grumble... Now I have to figure out Plan B. How to get gemplers down these friggin pie holes..

Carl, How in the heck did you beat that rim up so badly? I can see where it wouldn't hold air without a tube.

Rims were used to begin with and pretty thrashed. But, between the 1" canes on the blackberries, and the 3" alders, everything gets beaten up all that much more.

Carl.

Did you get the Gemplers to go in the tires? If not, this is what I do. Remove the valve core, and compress the tire ,and put a tube over the valve stem. and to the bottle of Gemplers. When you let up on the compression, vacuum in the tire will help to suck in the Gompers .

If it is a tube, you might have to heat it a little and squirt it in.

Good idea. I got the bottle and was wondering how I was going to get it in...

Actually, I got the 5 gallon jug... 10 tires, 1/2 gallon per...

Glad you guys like the rims. Was going to chrome them but will wait until next year...

Boy that rim sure looks almost new you can tell that it has never had to have a hammer laid to its outer edges to straighten it.
