B3030 has no adjustment for moving wheels out further than the 53.8" listed in specification. There is a set of spacers that can be purchased from dealer to move each wheel out about 1 1/2".
B8200, B7800, B2710, B2910B3030 and B2630 all use the same wheels. The spacers for the B3030 should fit all these tractors. Here is a thread with part numbers. Click Here

There are other links in the thread on how to make your own.
I just spoke with the guy at TractorSmart.
He said he cannot sell the spacers anymore.
He gave me the part # B8785 SPACER KIT with a list price of $242.
He said that I should be able to order from my local dealer.
-Stability
-Inside fender clearance for tire chains
Those are the only 2 reasons I can think of.
Most larger tractors allow for adjustments of the rear wheel spacing.
On my L3830, I've had mine set at all three settings and the difference in stability is substantial.
I wish my B2710 was adjustable /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
