Forks Titan Attachments pallet forks quality?

Oh, and definitely get the stabilizer bar! The set screws are junk on the bar, other than that it really helps keep the forks together.

I also recommend adding chains and binders. Your best bet is to order the forks and stabilizer bar, and then just buy some binders locally. I ordered binders from Titan with my forks and bar, like someone above said, Titan's communication is terrible, my order was held up due to them being out of stock on the binders, never got a call or heads-up that they were out. I finally called after a week of no shipping notice, they actually held my order for almost 3 weeks until they got more binders in. Tried to cancel the binders and they wouldn't do it, then went on to tell me that the stabilizer bar was also on backorder.

Great product, horrible service.

Ordered and received an $1800 flail mower that was rattling and defective. When I tried to get it replaced or refunded, I encountered major resistance. They did offer to let me repair it myself.... does not instill confidence. Clearing 10 acres, I will be buying tens of thousands of dollars in equipment. This company screwed up real bad. My only other option was to dispute it with my credit card company, which in 20+ years I have never had to do. I will never buy from this company again. Cheap chinese crap. bad follow up. Avoid

I've now owned two sets of Titan pallet forks, 2500 and 4000lb ratings. Both sets don't stand up to my version of real world abuse, the rails that the forks slide on get tweaked easily. I've learned my lesson, I'll be buying an American made set the next go around.

Oh, and their customer service is a joke, they have no knowledge of what they're selling. As was said, they are simply hosting a website, shipping product, and most likely have a call center in another country. All of their products are straight rip offs of American and Italian equipment, they have "engineers" that go to trade shows and take tons of pics and measurements and boom, an inferior copy is born.

I got titan's UA 48" ("made in the usa" rah rah) forks three years ago.

They claim that for their 42" set, the frame capacity is 4000#, and the blade capacity per pair is 4000#; the frame weighs 115# and the blades are 87# each, for a total of 289#. I've dug deep into the ground in ways I really shouldn't've with my 48"ers and not ruined anything yet, so I'm impressed (yes I promise I won't do that any more. much.).

There's one spot where a weld interferes with the SSQA on mine if I line up hard to the right, but it's trivial to keep 1/4" away from that side.

I paid $530 (watch for discounts here and there), no tax or shipping charges; looks like prices are a good $250 more now though. The same non-usa-made ones are $150 less. Order was supposedly shipped the day after I placed the order and they were dropped in my driveway 13 days later.

I don't doubt that EA's forks are high quality (note that their forks are made by Ansung in SK - they make Branson tractors, FYI; the fit & finish on my tractor is excellent so my guess is these forks are top-notch too), but for another 40# these UA 48's have 2000# more rated capacity (for what that's worth; I'm unlikely to lift 2k, though my tractor's rated for it) and 6" more reach.

I've been shopping for pallet forks. One challenge I've encountered is finding a pair of forks that slightly exceeds the capacity of my FEL but doesn't weigh a whole lot. It's easy to find forks with a 4000 lb. capacity that weigh over 400 lbs. Not so easy to find some that have a 2,500-3,000 lb capacity and weigh about 300 lbs.

I found a couple of options at Titan Attachments (Titan Attachments™ | Pallet Forks | Tractor Parts & Equipment (Free Shipping & Financing Available)), including one that can double as 3-prong bale spear. They seem to have a favorable shipping policy and a good price. Obviously every company has the occasional problem, but does Titan Attachments generally have good quality and good customer service?

Thanks,
Chris
I bought what I think is the exact one you are talking about, the one that can double as a 3 prong bale spear. I ordered it from Amazon ( which was the most convenient way) and chose the 48" fork length. It is displayed on Amazon as "Titan Attachments 46-in Skid Steer Pallet Fork Frame Attachment, 48" Fork Blades, Rate 4,000 LB, Quick Tach Tractor", currently priced at $724.99 but was $635.99 when I bought it April 1 2021.

I like it just fine. The quality seems fine. It seems sturdy. It fits the loader, and the forks fit the frame, perfectly well. The frame is visually pretty open but extends up far enough that I think it provides decent support and protection from the load coming back at me.

I tinkered with it a little bit. I put each fork on saw horses, right side up and also upside down, and used a right angle grinder with a solid wheel and a flap wheel, to smooth the edges on the end of the fork, because one thing I want to be able to do is lift things out of my station wagon, and I reasoned that smoothed edges would be that much less likely to catch the carpet and rip it. I also ground a little bit on the top rear edge of the upper rail that the forks slide on, to make the fork sliding motion easier. It is now significantly easier to reposition the forks, especially when I point them down at about a 45 degree angle so they hang from the upper mount point and the forces are neutral on the lower mount point.

Not sure about how the bale spear arrangement is supposed to work. There are three spear mount points, the side ones having one diameter and the central one having a larger (I think larger) diameter. I think there's also a hole in the central one such as might take a pin to keep the spear in the hole. Bale spears I've noticed for sale are threaded with a nut to keep them in the hole. I haven't used these mount points and, unless somebody challenges me in jousting, don't picture buying any spears.

I'm glad I bought them and would do so again.
