I'd assume so as well. The further out the load, the less leverage & lift capacity you'd have (not to mention potential stability issues. Putting curl cylinders in compression is asking for a bent cylinder. But a boom on a SSQA would be pulling on not pushing on the curl cylinders.No idea on how much it could lift but I would assume the loader would just stop lifting before it did any damage? That truck canopy probably weighs 300 plus pounds and the loader doesn't even notice it so I would assume it could lift quite a few bundles of shingles to a single story roof.
Personally it sounds like something a bit risky, but something I'd do cautiously for a load that wasn't to heavy.
