TLB L39

   / TLB L39 #11
I've had an L39 for 1 1/2 years. I think it's a great machine if you are using the backhoe and bucket as your main implements. I've done a lot of digging with this machine and have been impressed with it's power. I also have a B7800 with backhoe and there is no comparison.

Looking at the specs for the higher horsepowered non TLB's there aren't many out there that can do what the L39 can with it's backhoe and lifting capabilty. I use it with a grapple to put logs on my portable mill. It will lift most anything that the mill will cut.

The three point hitch seems very usable to me. I use it with a logging winch and also a brush hog. The hoe comes on and off pretty easily.

On the whole the machine seems very rugged. I've pressed it to the limits a number of times and it has surprised me with what it can do.

Telescoping arms are nice, but eventually develop play and slop when using big implements like box blades and big mowers. I may have wanted them, but have never needed them, yet. In comparing TLBs to grand Ls, hyd. flow says it all.
