Thanks Robert I am getting one as I write this. I have one question, looking at the posts on the 65-DLG, it looks like the + and - are on oposite sides to the origianl new holland battery. Do you recall if you had that and if the cables accomodated hooking it up no problem? Thanks, RIck

I don't remember any issues with the cables. The battery didn't fit like the old one but I never have had any issues with it.

Just replaced the battery in my 2002 TN75D. Used an Optima. Does not take much to crank a TN over since at least the 2 I've had crank over and start so easily. The cables are long enough to reach even if the battery terminals are on the wrong sides, just rotate the battery.

Happy to report I just installed an Autozone 65-DLG on my TN65, and other than shaving a bit of plastic so it would be held down by the clamps (its a touch wider than the OE battery), it was an easy install. Thanks for the fine info. This battery has superior specs to the one I replaced which I think was the origninal (got tractor used).

Just for the record I found a Maxx49 at Wallly World to be a direct replacement. 850CCA, $82 and 3 year replacement warranty. Probably won't last 8 years but I didn't have to burn a load of gas looking for something better.
