A little late but I pulled this out of the old threads.....

I have a tn55s, whatever one has the super steer and cab.... I use it in the summer for primarily lawn and native grass seeding. The super steer is awesome for seeding because with the galaxy turf tires it does not leave any tracks while turning on a soft seedbed. By the way, great tractor for my needs..... compared to my buddies tn65 open station there isn't much difference in the feel of available power output, compared to his tn75 the tn55 pulls about the same amount but you can do it 2-3 mph faster with the 75. back to my point..... I also use the tn55 for comercial snow removal in the winter. I live in the minneapolis, mn area. I have converted the super steer to a standard steer by means of a couple of brackets and a change in the tierod setup. This way I hang a typical heavy 10' snowplow on the front and the supersteer (being disconnected) doesn't interfere with mounting or turning. I purchased and installed a new set of take off 16-30's ag tires froma nh dealer for field work and snow plowing, big improvement over galaxies while plowing. I also have a 1600 herd salt/sand spreader(great unit) on the back that I use for spreading salt. When plowing I fill it full of salt, combined weight of around 2000lbs and away we go. The little tractor easily out pushes my 05' f-350 diesel with a western 8.5' v-blade and will almost compete with my 2-ton international with a 12' blade. Reason being I can spin the tractor around and plow a lot two directions, no reverse. very rarily do you run out of power.... Weight is usually more of a factor. That little tractor made me more money this winter than my other three pieces of snow removal equipment combined! Not bad for a $12,000 purchase of a used farm tractor! My next one will be a tl 100 with a 12' blade (same as the 2-ton). Hopefully we get more snow next year, and more seeding jobs this year /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
