Looking to purchase TN75 - FWD with 16.9-30s, LC loader with quick attach plate, HD bucket, 2 sets of remote rears and mid mount valve. New model (sloped hood). 12x12 syncro transmission. No cab. What's a good price?

Any comments on the 12x12 tranny? I was looking at the 16x16 but didn't see much use. I will be using the tractor for loader work, brushhogging and maybe some hay in the future. Seemed like the 12x12 had plenty of speed options.

Personally I would get the 16x16 electro hydro shuttle trans. That's what I have and I don't find that I have too many ranges. For loader work you can't beat the electro hydro shuttle. What type of trans is the 12x12. If it's a mechanical shuttle do yourself a favor and try a bunch of loader work with one before committing.

I would not worry about the mechanical shuttle. I have over 250 hours of just loader work with the mechanical shuttle and I still hardly realize I am shifting. The clutch has shown no signs of wear and the tractor has held up quite well. Try out both and go with what fits you best. The hydraulic shuttle adds some things to the TN (I don't remember what exactly but I think it gets a larger pump and more)

Thanks. I test drove a 12x12 synchro. It shifted very well. Seemed to me as though it had plenty of speed options. I performed several iterations of back and forth movement to simulate loader work. I didn't see where the powershuttle would be of much advantage. I also read that there can be some drift as the clutches slow down the speed and switch to reverse.

What does the 16x16 gain as far as speed options? My dealer said it would give a 2 more speeds below 1mph.

If my info is accurate, 12 vs 16 have one field range less. So, you have 4 speed less between 2 and 7 mph, and I think. And this is most important range.
You can't ever have too much gears, as too much hp, so 4 gears more are worth few hundert bucks, IMHO. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Well, I appreciate all the comments. I think I'm going to stick with the 12x12 Synchro. The dealer has one on the lot. I'm going for 2 sets of remote valves, 16.9-30 radials, LC quick attach loader and skid steer attach bucket. I'm loading the rear tires and have also requested a horn.

How does $30K sound?
