Thank you for the words of wisdom.

I also had a concern regarding the weight of the Kubota.

The Mahindra 6000 4WD has a weight of 6,250# without the loaded tires and loader - also much heavier than the Kubota.

I am going back to the NH dealer and see what price we can come up with for a TN 65 without so many options and gadgets. There should be a happy medium out there somewhere.

I agree with the other guys that this is high.

I got a TN70D 16x16 4wd 32LA quick attach for less. And that is a cab tractor.
No shuttle on mine and not as many fancy features (block heater), but they can do better.

Also on the 4and1: I second the idea of using the forks. That is what I do. But remeber that if you get the quick attach and three remotes you will be able to get a 4and1 desigend for a bobcat and use it. They run about $2500 if memory serves.

Yes it seems high to me. The price you were quoted is about the same I was quoted on the John Deere 5210 or maybe it was 5310. Can't remember model number for sure.

My Kioti has 65 horsepower and has never lacked any. My local MF dealer told me that the Perkins motor will usually dyno more HP than what is advertised /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I'm starting to believe it /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I will tell you my price was well below $25,000
I'm guessing tractor weighs close to 9,000lbs. Loaded rear tires, (R4's), shuttle shift 12 speed, sunshade, rear remotes, front and rear diff locks , self-leveling loader, quick attach/detach plate (same as Bobcats), 84" HD bucket. The 72" bucket you have quoted seems

A friend of mine has the TN70 and likes it, plus he really likes mine, especially when we started talking price.

The TN65 on up has limited slip in the front axle. That makes it a lot easier to turn than a locker.

I can't imagine that weight is going to be a problem with these tractors. I have never used my tractor to plow but I do pull a large leveling blade. I haven't added any weight to the M9000 because I wanted to see if I needed any. Why spend extra fuel pushing weight I don't need. I can load that 8ft blade completely full of manure until its heaping to the back tires before I start spinning then all I have to do is engage the 4wd and its like its not even there. Also I pull a large manure spreader up our hill. Our old 50hp ford had to be in second gear with the hammer down to put it. The M doesn't even know the spreader is behind it. I'm sure you have seen what 5030 does with his.

One thing I will say that I really liked about the NH was that the loader used the bobcat quick attach. I have a skid steer so the ability to use this universal attachment would be great. Kubota says they don't use this attachment on their larger loaders because it's not heavy enough. That just can't be. NH uses it and huge skid steers use it, Kubota should use it. When I get a loader I may get an aftermarket loader for this reason. Attachments are easier to make, find used, and find new. One bucket just doesn't work for me. I use a digging bucket, a high capacity bucket, and a sifting bucket.

If Kasko does not make a quick attach for your kubota loader they will usually custom make one for you with a few measurments..

Depends on what you want to do.

I have a 9' heavy duty blade I use to create ditches and grade my roads. In tough rock/dirt this thing can drag my ~9000 lb tractor (Tn70D+blade+loader) to a halt in 4wd creeper gear. This kind of task or a round baler full of hay or 7000 + lbs of fert trailer plus a few hills and weight is most helpful.

Some days I wish i spent the extra for a TL100.
Not so much for the Hp but the weight.

Absolutely, so far I haven't needed the weight. I can see how it could come in handy in those situations. Dave needs to consider if this really needs to be a factor in his particular situation. I think most of these utility tractors would work fine for his needs. I wouldn't discount the Kubota because of weight. It has done everything I have needed it to do. Just my experience.

Thanks for the kasco info. Right now I use my skid steer for loading. The tractor is for hauling, pulling, and pto work. One of these days as needs and finances present themselves I will be looking at a loader with a quick attach.

Have you seen many of the TN70's? When I was looking the dealers here in Oregon seems to just carry the TN65 or TN75. Most didn't carry the 70. The dealer here said there wasn't enough difference. They implied that the 75 was about the same price.

This is true. The main difference in my mind (besides a few horses which you will not likely miss) is the extra flow rate on the hydraulics in the TN75 model.

The only reason I went with the TN70 (instead if the TN75) is they had it on the lot and therefore would cut a good deal on it.
