I recently bought a 1999 TN75F. It is a bit of a project tractor with 3900 hours on it. Engine runs really well, doesn't smoke and everything is actually in pretty good shape. It has the 16 speed transmission and the project issue is the Forward / Reverse shifter is sticky and I understand will sometimes stick in neutral. I am thinking it's a linkage issue or the F/R syncro - a winter project. The TN75F is an orchard model with the small tires. What I would like to do is remove the orchard tires / rims and replace with larger rubber to enable more clearance. Wondering if someone running a TN75 4WD that could let me know tire / rim size possibilities for both front and back, as they would have to match because of the 4WD. Thanks, Tom

According to my TN-A brochure, standard tire size is:
14.9x28 rear and 11.2x20 front.
I'm pretty sure that my TN70A has 30's on the back and 24's on the front, but I don't remember the width. I can check on it for you tomorrow. I looked for my manual, but I can't find it at the moment.

Thanks for the info. I would greatly appreciate you checking your tire size if you feel they are different from the brochure. Looking forward to any information from TN75 owners that run a 4WD version.

Tom, I still don't know where my manual is. (that's normal)
But I did go look at my TN70A and here's the tire size that's on there:
Front: 11.2x24
Rear: 16.9x30

I'm not sure, but I think that was the largest tire option available.

Hope that helps.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I am not sure which are the most common sizes or easiest to find (used), but it will be nice to get properly sized rubber on it. So far, I am impressed with the TN75, it seems like a nice tractor, nice size and good power. I may have to modify the loader slightly with larger tires, but that shouldn't be a big problem. Does anyone know the flow on the hydraulics? Mine has two remotes at the rear, but can't find any specs on the hydraulic pump. The original owner is looking for the user manual and paper work, but I am kind of losing hope. I did however download the entire service manual on line for $59.00, which I felt was well worthwhile. If interested:

Portable Java Shop

About 850 pages on the TN 60 - 75 models. Well worth the $59.00

According to the book, the TN75A has a 16.9 gpm pump. If your tractor is not the "A" series, that may not apply.

Thanks, I would think the hydraulics are going to be fairly similar if not exactly the same with the series. I have a Shaver HD-10 post driver I would like to use on the back and it is calling for a minimum of 12 gallons per minute. I don't think this should be a problem. By the way, if anyone has rims and tires for sale, I am interested.

Your tractor has either a 12 GPM pump or 16 gpm pump. If it has an hydraulic oil cooler in front of the radiator, it has the big pump. You can't put rear tires taller than the optional 28" TN/F rears on your tractor without having fender clearance problems. The service manual you purchased won't cover anything specific to orchard tractors, the TN/F series have their own manual set.

Thanks Rick, I thought that would be the case. Although I wanted 28's for the rear, none of the wreckers had anything available and new rims and centers were prohibitive for me. Although any used rims and centers seem hard to find, I ended up with a full set of New Holland 30's for the rear and 24's for the front which came off a TN75 4WD (for 16.9 x 30 and 11.2 x 24 tire sizes respectively). They are in great shape, in fact still have all the tags on them. I don't mind modifying or building new fenders as I plan to split the tractor this fall to fix the shuttle syncro and will be repainting the tractor at that time. I am lucky to have a machine shop, as I am a welder / fabricator. The rear fenders should be an easy modification. So far I really like the TN75. Although the shuttle is a bit touchy (worn), the rest of the tractor seems great. The service manual set is pretty good but you're definately right on the F series, nothing specific to the orchard tractors. I notice my front axle is different than the manual, as it articulates somewhat. I am assuming this is what is known as super steer. Very handy.
