Will a TN75 4WD be suitable for a 3x16" moldboard plow?
The plow is a JD with CAT 2 hitch.
The fields are level/flat, relatively easy plowing, approx 20 acres.
Will I need weights/loaded tires?

Should be able to pull it without significant difficulties. Depending on soil and conditions, can probably pull in in 2wd but if spins, go to 4wd. With 4wd, weights should not be necessary. A 4 bottom plow maybe too much for that size, 3 bottom is probably ideal. Have fun! 20 acres is going to take a little time.

You should be fine with a 3-16 if your soil isn't too heavy. I pull a 3-14 with my TN65 in a heavy soil. My rear tires are loaded but if I feel I need a little more weight I just grab some dirt with the loader bucket and go about my day. If I don't want the weight I dump it and continue on.

4WD is there to use, it increases productivity and fuel economy. Anyone pulling a moldboard plow with a 4wd tractor in 2wd is wasting time, fuel, and rear tires. Shift into 4WD when you pull into the field, and go plow!

I somewhat disagree. Tractors used in tillage work are actually working ideally (most efficiently) at a small % of slippage. I think the ideal is around 3-5%. If 2 wd pulls it fine then stay in 2wd. Plowing requires lots of turn for the relatively small width of tillage. MFWD constantly engaged on turning probably results in excessive wear on the MFWD. Kind of like turning your 4x4 truck.
I just ordered a 125 hp ag tractor that has automatic MFWD engagement. It has a hydraulically engaged clutch which only engages after dectection of a % of slippage with the rear. Design to prevent unecessary wear and more efficient.

My TN55SA has the auto feature. I would think the TN75 would as well (might be a supersteer only thing).

The tractor in question doesn't have auto 4WD (only on TN's w/ SuperSteer) , nor will it pull 3-16's in 2WD at a slip percentage anywhere near optimum. When you take delivery of your new tractor, note how much tillage you do with the auto 4WD controller NOT calling for front axle engagement. Part of the added efficiency of auto 4WD is the tractor is smart enough to turn it on when needed.

I agree with that. I've had both a TN75S Supersteer with auto 4wd and a TN75D with the electro hydro 4wd. When I pulled tillage equipment the S stayed in 4wd about 100% of the time except sometimes on row ends. New Holland recommends for better fuel efficiency and less wear to stay in 4wd when doing this kind of work.

Another on the benefit of slippage. Ideal conditions require more slippage than you may think necessary.
