Another on the benefit of slippage. Ideal conditions require more slippage than you may think necessary.

You have no idea what I think is acceptable wheel slip, I haven't expressed an opinion on that.

Re-read my postings; nowhere do I advocate zero slip or any other percentage.
I said performing primary tillage with a 4WD tractor in 2WD is a waste of time, fuel, and rear tires. I just said that again. When you get to use your new tractor and if you trust it enough to operate it in auto 4WD, you will understand. Probably not until.
Your second link didn't work for me.

My "new" tractor is probably about my 15th tractor over the past 30 years. Many of those had MFWD but no auto MFWD. Hp ranged from 14-180hp. My next tractor will probably be in the 225-250hp range when I make my next years trade up from 180hp for planned 16 row planter. Just to operate MFWD because it is available is not valid. Use it if needed, not because you have it. My current "small" plow is 8 bottom and it doesn't get used much with no tillage. My largest tractor has radar and I can calculate the % of slippage but rarely use it because traction is not an issue for my no tillage equipment and 8 row planter. I remember pulling 3 x14" plow with a 2 wd AC D-15 (propane) which is a lot smaller than the poster's TN75. Plowed lots of acres with 3x16" plow and AC D-17 diesel.

What you own and what you do is immaterial. This isn't my first big bus ride either, and I stand by every word I have posted. Maybe you should use that radar a little more. The last corn I planted was with an 8 row IH 800 with dry fertilizer that worked the snot out of a CaseIH 7220 MFD notilling our hilly northeastern soils. This is my last post in this thread.
