TO 30 Sediment Bowl

Did some work on a Neighbor's TO 30 and replaced the Sediment Bowl with a new one.
It was fine for a while and has now started to leak around the gasket. This is a rubber gasket and I am wondering if the ethanol in the gas has affected the gasket.

Has anyone else had a problem with this and if so - have you found a solution ?

I have a Ferguson TO-35, and I bought a new sediment bowl assembly and fuel shutoff from Tractor Supply. It's made in China, and is a total piece of junk. Nothing is right, and I do mean nothing. If you want a good gasket, make one yourself from rubber impregnated cork , or a rubber sold for ethanol fuel. Be certain there is no brass wire filter disc to get in the way of the gasket sealing. And if the bowl was made in China, it's probably not flat on the sealing surface.
