I picked up this from a lady that needed some work done around her place. It had been sitting for 2 yrs and blew a front tire when I rolled it off the trailer. Well, after a new tire and tube, checking lubes, cleaning points and some fresh gas it fired right up. I remember the one I used as a kid, it brought a lot of memories back and sounded so sweet. It had a loader on it, which I immediately took off. It is totally self contained with the pump and hydraulics built into the frame. If anyone wants it give me a note. This one is a Harris Ferguson. I didn't know that they made one with that name.

It sure is. Thank you for the correction. I had to look. I never heard of that name before. I have heard of the ferguson and massey ferguson, but not the harry ferguson.

Ferguson & Massey Harris were combined to make Massey Ferguson, the Ferguson 3-point hitch system is still being used on the AGCO built Masseys today.

That tractor has many interchangeable parts with the 8N ford, especially
the 3ph parts. the engine is probably a "Continental" - made in Detroit
parts are still readily available. ..Good Luck (see attached )

Yes, it does RayBee. About the only things it needs, are the side crome by the rear of the hood, the lower lift links have been repaired, a top link, and a new steering wheel. The rest of it just needs cleaned up and given a nice coat of paint. Yours sure looks nice.

I might add that the serial no plate is under the steering wheel and has the Harry Ferguson logo.

Great old equipment. Fergison in the one that invented the 3 point I think and ford had a deal to get the three point and ford fergisons were born, then fergison went with harris etc. You can still get many of the parts for those tractors new from either the ford or the massy shop.

I just got done resoring a to 35 for a bud of mine. they actualy have quite a few advatages over the fords of the same day.
