I had a TO 30 Ferg once, for about 10 years. I 'tolerated' the 3pt on it (preferred the 8N Ford) because it didn't have position control. Either going up or going down. It did have a good draft control, if I remember right.
I always thought something was broken that the position control would not work. But learned when I tore it down that there was nothing inside that would feed the height of the arms back to the control valve. So, I made do and learned to live with it. When I 'moved up' to a Deere 420 two-cyl, I gave up some hp, but gained the position control in the 3pt, and had draft control too.
I really liked the TO 30 and hope you like yours as well.
