TO Buy new 3830

Hi ,
According the dealer than i saw, We are able to get 59" width when we install AG tire sized for the L3430. The AG tire for the 3430 are smaller than the AG tire on L 3830.
At the first, i wanted to buy turf tire too (for the mow). But the tractor width must do not exceed more than 59 -60" require when i go into the tree plantation. We found a guy they are able to make new rear wheel steel for 1200$.
Since that, i change my mind, now i plan to buy a mower like ZD or a F serie to mow my grass. Then i will not need turf tire.
i will need now two equipments to do the same job than i did with a single one !!! My Ford are very well dressed,Fard in 1992 was more Japanese equipment than Kubota. Today, I need more power for the work the plantation.

if you live in canada, (I believe a us Kubota dealer cannot sell to a customer in Canada) , per some existing agreement, could be wrong but when I was dairy farming I inquired about a kubota in canada and that was what I was told in 1999 things could have changed by now

You tell the true.
Here the answer of a bota dealer said to me:
"The mfg does not allow us to quote or sell NEW equip. for export.
If you have a USA "ship to" address, we'll be happy to quote you a used demo unit with only 9 hrs.
No warranty for exported tractors."
The main problem for me that the lost of the warranty. Buy a new equipment at full cost without any warranty!!!!!.
I feel more confortable to buy a used (±300-400 hr used) tractor than a new one. Usually, if they are assembly problems they are solve by the first owner. Anyway, if i buy a used tractor in Canada there are no warranty either.
That the only way i see how to solve that warranty problem!
Do you think a better way to solve that?

Hi,

Depending on where you are in Ontario, there is a TYM330 HST ( Kubota Engine ) which is 33 hp in Quebec at PickensFarmsEuipment which is not far from Montreal but across the river. Comes with double action loader, mid mount mower, industrials, remote, 100 hrs or so, 5 year warranty and up to 10 year financing for an ask of $24,500 Cdn and you would avoid Ontario PST of 7% by buying out of province.
Greenline in Smithville Ontario has a B2550, cab, 60" snow blower, loader and 72" mower, 875 hrs, for an ask of $17,900 ( Cdn ) but you are stuck with 2 taxes unless exempt. Know not quite the HP you may be looking for but something to think about re implements.

The used equipment (Kubota)are really more expensive in Canada.
I do not know why. I suppose bota he is a leader here, in US he is always a good second back to JD! Maybe the vendor here do not follow the existing exchange rate!
I have no problem to pay 600$ transport + ±200$ for the brokers if the end I save a significant amount of money.

Hi,

Yup, Canada is quite a bit more expensive than the U.S.
Bota leads the pack up here with compacts, no question.
Other than that, Deere has the market share.
I have brought back from the U.S with no real problems on used tractor and will be bringing back a few in the New Year.
Biggest issue is the NAFTA documents, receipts but in 2006 they changed the rules a bit about emissions. I am trying to get straightened out with the EPA here but is a bit of a battle to get firm committments from them. They expect you to interpret the regs yourself and then if you are wrong, you are caught up at Customs but I am working on it with them.

Lots of good deals in the U.S.A both new and used. Used, you had best know what you are getting because once you got it here you are beat if it is broken.

Might consider some of the Chinese tractors as they are really good value for the money. No HST but as long as you can live with gear, you can get a great buy on Chinese.

Good luck any way you go. I know Canoetrpr ( on the board here ) from Canada started looking out for used in the U.S and ended up buying new here in Canada because of the hassles.

Hi,

If you are not in a hurry, wait until the 1st week in February and go to the Toronto Farm Show. Premier farm show in Canada.

As you go in the front doors, you'll find Deere and then Kubota. The biggies here in Canada now.
Should be a lot of Farm Show specials on and you may be able to pick up a deal on a new one or, there are a bunch of dealers there that may have something you like.

I will make a double check with the custom. I do not want any hassle.
I am not hurry I have a reliable Ford 1620 since 1992 wt 3500 hrs on the meter. I will thank it for is loyal service by change-it by a new one!!!!
I could not say now if I will be at Toronto show. The Exfor (Pulp&Paper show) start Feb 7 at Mtl.
Where I could get information of the Toronto tractor show?

Buying a new Tractor to bring in and the rules change a bit for 2006 according to the CEPA ( Canadian EPA ). More paper work at the border re declarations, being sold in the U.S and Canada as same product, etc, etc. Declarations re emissions.
Need commercials invoice, etc.

Maybe talk to a customs broker. Wouldn't hurt.
