Buying Advice To Cab or Not to Cab

/ To Cab or Not to Cab #21
Oh definitely getting something in the DK series. Just debating if the investment in the Cab is worth it, vs investing that money into something else. If money wasn't an issue of course I'd get the Cab.

Anyone know if the cost of ownership goes up with the Cab much? Obviously will have to replace wipers and fluid in a Cab. Anything else? Is there an air cabin filter to change too?
If you don,t get the cab at least get a well made canopy.I had a wells ag canopy on my 2008 Kioti. It was made of steel.

Cab no question. I would guess 200+ hours on mine were spent in the woods. No issues other than the stupid plastic top broke where the antenna used to mount! I trim branches with my grapple. CJ

So many guys have traded in their ROPS tractors this winter to get cab machines.. and YOU are in MN? I can't even imagine -31 below. I was whining about plowing snow this winter down here when it was 15. Keep in mind the cab up sell is normally about 6000 from most dealers and the upsell from DK40 to Dk45 is often $1500.. so you are getting the DK45 and the cab for $4000? sounds like a no brainer to me.

Also the Cab DK 45 is in stock and you can't order a DK anymore, you move to a tier 4 machine NX.

So far, 25 posts, 3 are yours. 1 for ROPS, makes that 21 for CAB. Pretty much seals it! Oh ya, cab for me, make that 22!

I did say I still wanted a cab, just too cheap to do it when I bought the Rops, so I think that really makes iT 23!:drink:

You are the first to catch that the ROPS is a DK40 and the Cab is a DK45. The reason for the "deal" is the owner will hit his "bonus" if he makes this sale before the end of the month. I don't trust any sales guy so I don't know if this is true or not. However, I did put calls into other Kioti dealers in the surrounding states and the price seems to jive.

The other part of starting this thread was to have some convincing evidence for the CFO on the acreage, i.e. the wife. Going to go sit in the machine tomorrow morning just to make sure it still "fits" me.
