Anyhow, the point I was trying to make with the gentleman from Florida was to consult with someone expert in Florida taxation and not to take "coffee shop" opinion as gospel.

One thing I do notice.. Florida is not a mean dictatorship when it comes to farming like many states are.. For instance.. You don't even have to have a business license to be a farm. and if all you sell are materials produced on the farm.. you don't need a county retail/wholesaile license. Only if you buy outside material and re-sell, or use the outside material to process your farm material do you have to get a retail or wholesaile license. ( that's straight from the marion county tax collector's office)

Having alarge horse farm industry is one of the things keeping florida 'farm friendly'.

I agree with the advice about asking a tax profesional.. it is obviously the safest bet. ( my cpa didn't bat an eye on my issues with ag sales tax .. and this is not some tax prep place.. it's a real big-city cpa firm... so i tend to trust him.. beeen doing my taxes for years... beeps us honest.. we pay our fair share and go on.. )
