To Save A Cow

It started out sad. Cow #3 had a large stillborn calf. It took us two days to find her in the woods, the buzzards keyed us in on where to look. She could not get up. If cows are down too long they never get up and eventually die. After moving some brush we finally made it to her.

We gently scooped her up.

And took her to the trailer.

and loaded her on

She will be heading to a corral to be cared for by the vet for a while. The FEL was a life saver!

My Grandfather always said judge a man by how he treats his animals. He was a wise ole farmer and a dying breed. I can see your one of the good one.

Really glad to hear you could find her and get her out OK.

I do wonder (since I don't know), how bad of shape they're in to allow a FEL to lift them without them struggling.

Hope she comes out of it OK.
