Try putting the old condenser back in, these new ones are hit or miss on quality and can short out your spark. Point gap on this engine is .020, make sure your setting it with the points high on the lobe and use point lube on the rubbing block.

I’d think there’d be some way to use a dwell meter also to get an exact setting. Same with a timing light.
