Today's garden tractors

If I'm spending $14,000 on a freaking garden tractor, it darn well better have a loader and a 3 point hitch. It is completely insane that a garden tractor exists at this price with the ability to do nothing but cut grass and hold your beer.

I'm assuming you're looking at the X7xx which have 3 point hitch and I think a loader available, which is why they cost so much. They are effectively a utility tractor in a lawn mower package. I'm not sure I'd ever want one either, but it makes sense they cost the same as a compact utility tractor.

IIRC, it has a gas engine. That just seems wrong for something that is poking its foot into the subcompact TLB price range.

They come gas or diesel. I don't think they "start" at 14k. I believe a 2wd gas is about 10k.
