"today's posts" vs "new posts"

What's the difference? I see the same posts listed, unless I'm missing something.

Recently I've noticed when I select today's posts from menu it always takes me to new posts?

They do both say New Posts but there is a difference. Click on Today's Posts and look at a few threads. Then click on New Posts, they will not show up. Click back to Today's Posts and you will see them.
