Almost the best thread going.
Good idea using pallets, I have a bunch in my shed that have reproduced.
That Makita 6401? I love mine, was an ex-home depot rental. Very tough saws. Some “non-farm” seat time. Actually do a lot of that with everything that goes on around here....
Had a 60-70’ split white pine blow over in that crazy wind storm last week. Used the Makita 20” and the DeWalt 16” 60V to make fast work of the upper limbs.
Loaded the logs into the M135X with 8’ bucket.
To anyone looking for a nice tractor accessory-get a high capacity bucket. You’ll use it for snow, mulch, dirt, debris. Heck you can even curl it all the way back and carry water in it for watering trees.
Sachs Dolmar saws! That Makita 6401? I love mine, was an ex-home depot rental. Very tough saws.
Also have a little Makita DCS510, it doesn't get as much use now.
My limbing saws are both older Echo's.View attachment 692933View attachment 692935
Yup, they even make the Makita in the Dolmar orange now instead of the anti-theft blueSachs Dolmar saws!

Have another with a 24” bar.
