Twas a fine day for mowing the 4 acre pasture with the 2520 and RC1060. First mow of the year, everything is SO GREEN...

Another nice day here, mostly sunny and 75*, just right for me these days.

Anyway, today was Cana planting day, so I put the "middle buster" on my tractor and made two pass' the length of the back garden. {The second trench will be used for the veggies I'll be planting later.}

With the trenches in, I dropped the Cana bulbs in the trench with the new dirt that I dug out of a ditch, and tilled a few days ago,

Then all that's left to do, is pull the loose dirt over the bulbs with a hoe,

All the buckets were full when I started, and the 10 left on the trailer in the pict., were delivered/sold to a local greenhouse.

Now, to get a few potatoes and veggies planted.

Thanks, that carryall is one of my most used attachments. The sides also come off which is very handy for loading/unloading mulch and I also have a seat/bench for it.

Not from today, but from this week. High winds pushed a widow maker into
a live tree. They got tangled up and the last storm knocked them both down.
Problem was they blocked my only road to my back pasture. Had to section
them up with the chain saw, then remove with grapple to the burn pile. Also
pulled up a small cedar with the grapple, roots & all.

First use of my new tractor, or any tractor for that matter, was today. My brother gave me a 5 ft rear grader blade, since he just got a newer bigger one, and loaded it in my truck bed. Got home and used my tractor to unload it with some straps around my bucket. First seat time ever. Went slow but went good.

A bit nerve racking - tractor makes many different sounds and did not know what to expect. I noticed that going up hill it makes kind of a wining sound that I don't hear going down hill. I guess its just the hydrostat wining some going up hill under load?

What do you have for a tractor? Slow and easy is good, especially until you are more familiar with the machine.
Yes, the whining is the hydro. You will get used to it, while learning which range to run in for various uses.

I wear ear plugs religously... because I didn't in my younger days and my hearing leaves a lot to be desired.

Best way I found to get rid of that obnoxious whining noise, was to NOT buy the "whiner" tranny in the first place! lol
