Can't go wrong with Charmin ... life is too short to use cheap-o TP

I put one on a nail in the shops bathroom to see who knows what it is for. You know there has only been 2 people that knew out of maybe 50 people. It's been there for 11 years.

Remember there were red cobs and white cobs. and not recycled only dropped in the hole. The white was to double check if
needed another red.

Tell you one thing for absolute sure, the size of them sheets has shrunk a **** of a lot faster than my hairline. Got to the point now that there's almost inch and a half of empty space on the spool holds the paper on the wall, and that roll filled that space 10 years back.

Not to mention that they seem to have fluffed it up or wound it looser on the roll too. A roll doesn't seem to last as long as it used to.

Might not be a problem with the roll but with the end user so to speak .

A bit of irony here: As I was reading this thread last evening I heard the water alarm go off in the basement. Seems that the main line from the basement to the alley was plugged and backing up in the furnace room. Called the plumber this morning and we run 90' of "roto-rooter" out to the alley. Problem fixed. First time we've had to do that in this house and we've been here near 40 years. Never did figure out what caused the clog but I suspect grease buildup over the years.

This thread reminds me if those toilet paper dispensers that make it hard to pull the TP out. Seems like you get one square at a time and it is ripped down the middle.

How can it last as long as it used to when rolls used to have 500 to 1000 sheets and now a regular roll of Charmin only has 83 sheets?
