The red delicious apples are the ones we send out to those who do not know what a good apple is. We keep the good varieties to ourselves. :licking:

Mostly serious, since we do ship out other varieties. Locally we never eat the red delicious apple, but we may have to use them as TP someday.

He's telling the truth, sorta, the red delicious are just a blandish sweet apple that alot of people seem to like. There are many many different kinds of apples grown in Washington.

I've seen the same septic in a rental clean as could be and later simply full of all manor of garbage... cigarettes', wipes, hygiene products and even diabetic needles.

Not a good time to be a landlord around here. Lots of low life renters and Rental Tenancy Act protecting them. Hard enough to evict them BEFORE the Covid 19 crisis. Now legislation has disallowed ANY evictions in the interim.

My daughter that lives with us was helping and ordered some TP from Amazon... shipping delayed several times and then it showed up.. She opened the boxes and discovered paper towels.. she checked her order and somehow it was paper towels.. she checked her email confirmation for when she placed order and it too was paper towels... we have enough paper towels for sure. LOL

Same here in B.C. Red Delicious apples have been traced back to the Fred Flintstone era.

It is the same in my state (Oregon), I was holding my breath around the 1st I have a few rentals but they all came through.

If it gets down to shooting in the street I'm screwed. Even if I had plenty of weapons and ammo, I would be at a loss against several intruders. I prefer not to keep firearms, so that they can't be stolen and used against somebody. ;) ;)

If/when the SHTF, you wind up a victim. But only if someone has something you want. Wife, daughter, food, tools, truck, UTV, fuel, TP....Just something to think about. Gun ownership is not for everyone but it is wise to balance both the pros and cons. If there is nothing worth protecting, being without a gun during a SHTF event is relatively safe...no one is going to waste ammunition on you.

As to intruders, they go after the easy targets if they can. Wolves to do not attack the healthiest moose in the herd.

For home defense, if you and your wife are dead set against guns...get a few cans of Wasp and Hornet spray. It is non-lethal, has a decent range of over 20' and will subdue an attacker if you spray his eyes. A couple of baseball bats applied liberally to the intruder as he squirms on the ground for follow up. Wrists, ankles, knees, head and neck are good target locations. Heavy duty zip ties for wrists and ankles. Not an ideal solution if facing two or three armed intruders if one or more is still able to engage...might just put up your hands and hope for the best. Keep your TP safe.

Shooting the intruder would be more humane???
