Here's what I picked today. Someone's :D looking at my onions.

Woohoo! That's a smiley face for sure.:) I picked four nice yellow squash and a white scalloped squash yesterday. I also picked a couple handfulls of peas and snap beans and stir-fried them last night. They were pretty tasty, but the English peas were a little tough. English peas aren't really considered to be edible pod peas. I have some of them, but they are making slower. I'll just have to be patient.

My wife told me we had lots of golf-ball size tomatoes. Your cherry tomatoes sure look nice. I also have lots of 1" diameter onions. We really need a couple of days of sunny weather to dry out the garden. I get muddy feet just carefully walking down the rows.

Are you having any trouble with bloom setting on your tomatoes? I haven't seen any problem on ours, but I've been worried about it because of all the rain and reduced hours of sun. It seems my plants double in size every week. This rain is producing phenomenal growth.

I have tomatoes all over my plants. I read somewhere that when your near your plant, give it a shake. Helps to pollinate, thereby making the bloom take.
So when I'm out there, making sure limbs are not binding up in cage, I tend to jostle the plant. I have sand, so wet is good.

Here's some of what I picked today, gave part of it to a co-worker, brought some of the zucchini to work, grated it, cooked it like spaghetti. Added sauce, parmesian cheese, garlic butter on bread, toasted. I love spring.

Oh yeah! I could eat some of that...:)

We still have about 5 spaghetti squash (well cured) from last year. You just slice those in half and heat them in the oven or microwave for a few minutes, then scrape out the "spaghetti." Squash makes a very nice pasta. Of course I like it baked in a dish as scalloped squash too. ...and fried...and raw...:D

You really have it going on the tomatoes and potatoes in the tires, and the squash looks very nice too. Your okra looks like a twin to mine in size. We must have planted about the same time. This year I planted the okra in the heaviest clay spot I have because I remember as a kid our okra patch was part sand and part clay. The clay part would get dry and hard, but the okra seemed to love it. I'm testing the myth.

Last night and tonight, my wife and I weeded our 36 hills of cantaloupes. I accidentally broke one vine off at the ground level while moving runners, so now we only have 35 hills. I'll bet every plant there has 50 blooms or more. I don't know when I've seen so many blooms and tiny melons on plants.

I also got the honor of picking our first four cucumbers. They are also doing great. I noticed your cucumbers are still fairly small, but with the warm weather, I'll bet you they double in size this next week.

GREAT Garden Pictures! Seeing the gardens that you gentlemen have in Texas makes me want to go out and kick our plants a bit to get them growing.

We will have to wait until August to show pictures of our gardens!

Keep the pics coming!
