Tomatoes: Do you stake 'em? Cage 'em? or just let 'em flop??

I use cages for my bigger indeterminates, build a trellis with netting for the sweet million cherrys, and let the Romas do their own thing. Have 24 Roma, 6 Saxon, 6 Lemon boy & 6 Sweet Million in the ground. The Sweet Million are starting to bloom & the Saxon shouldn't be far behind.

Tried them all and found that the cages work the best for me. I make them to varying sizes using concrete reinforcing wire mesh.

I retied the tomatoes plants yesterday,, they are getting tall,, those are 8 ft poles in front,, 7 and half in the back.. I like to keep my plants off the ground,, plus I like to water sometime,, instead of using the soaker hose.. makes it a little easier,, Plus this way I can cover them with shade screen fabric when it get real hot in late July and Aug.. I have picked tomatoes always into Dec. off the same plants.. Lou
