I've got my cucumbers and pole beans growing up the cattle panels I fenced the garden with. Great idea, but I should have tilled a bit farther out from the fence because the fescue is doing a fine job competing with the veggies. The cucumbers seem to be doing better than the pole beans.
I've got Better Boy, Big Boy, Beefmaster, Avalanche, Show Me, Park's Whopper, Sweet 100's, Roma and one Mr. Stripey, and all but the last seem to be doing OK. Some of them do seem a bit heavy on the foliage, so I won't be feeding them any more. Gotta remember to stop for some cilantro on the way home because the jalapenos are in too....salsa and chips!
