Tractor
Long 2310
Hello to all in the pack! I'm still going to pull the
trigger on a CK30. I'm in the process of building
a small shopping center and am almost done (thank God!)

The reason I'm posting is to warn anyone thinking
about buying an older manual or even a shuttle shift tractor
to RRREEEAAALLLYYY think it over especially if you
are doing more than mowing or other forward moving apps.
Here's why....

I have a large gravel p lot on the back of one of my
properties. It needed dragging and some re-fill of
lower areas (non intentional bird baths).

Enter F in Law. God bless him, he brings me a Long
tractor... (2710 i think) fully manual. Here's the rub.
I'm 6'3" and a sexy 280 LBS so my wife and mistress say's
(kidding...about the wife LOL) anyway after 2 days
I'm a vegetable. This thing is more torture device
than a tractor. I realize that a mule drawn plow is hard
work but this thing is at least a close second or third.

I'm glad I've had the bare bones experience and I
did get most of the work painfully done, except
for the really mucky areas (which 2wd can't touch)
Just wanted to give posters some insight and a
little humor about my recent experiences.

Thanks to all of you!
