2008 John Deere 2520
I have a 2008 2520 JD (26.5hp, Class I 3pt) and I'm in the market for a bush hog. I was wanting to go with a 5' but did find a 5-1/2' JD mower and was just wondering if this one would be too large to run on a 2520.

51/2 foot john deere bush hog

I'll bet if you measure the blade tip to tip it actualy a 5'. I may be wrong but I bet thats what you find out. In any event at $200 I would scarf it up in a new york minute!!
I have a Kubota b7510 21 hp 19 pto hp and I have used a 5' hog before. I had to put weight on the front to keep the front down but had enough power to run it in moderately tall grass 2' tall. I say go for it!!

I would jump on that deal faster than a cat can lick his behind with his leg cocked.

At that price you should get it even if it a bit big. You can go slower in tall grass or take less then "full bite" of grass. I used a 5ft on my 30 hp tractor and that was loads of power for that size brush hog although it is considerable weight.
