Too large

Why, when I try and post a picture I get an error message saying it's too large? I've tried to "compress" it but when I do they look like a thumbprint picture. I'm envious at some of the other posts that looks so detailed.

Resize the picture with your camera software before you load it onto the board.

Check the actual file size. Maybe even though the picture is smaller, the file size is the same size.

I think the files need to be less than 200kb.

150kb is the limit... Look for a freeware jpeg cruncher...

I use Irfanview to chnage the size and resolution of most graphics files. It is free and can be downloaded from <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.irfanview.com>www.irfanview.com</A>. The option you are looking for is usually called Resize / Resample and you can change the size, the resolution, and the compression ratio (for .jpg files at least) for a file. The 200 K which is I think the current limit for a graphic file is plenty big for a 640 by 480 .jpg file.
