The ads have gotten ridiculous. I hope someone who cares will make the effort to supervise the TBN advertisers.
Some - like the diehard ad - expand to take up 90% of the screen.

Thank you, I use Safari and Google Chrome interchangebly. Some sites work better on one or the other.

Perhaps my adv. info is out of date. In fact, I'm sure that is the case since most were based on user selection of "opt in/out". I'd appreciate any hints you have about good ad blockers and their use.

I do think that monitoring and blocking ads is something that the website owner should be doing instead of the user. If the owner is going to sell advertising, shouldn't limiting and regulating that advertising be his responsibility?

uBlock Origin browser extension is what you want...

Also, consider using a more privacy oriented browser like DuckDuckGo. Another step beyond that is a trusted VPN and Bitdefender. Those will be paid services and may not be worth it to you.

That said, I appreciate tasteful advertisements about things I am interested in. If Surplus Central has a sale on hydraulic fittings, I'm interested. But unless I can select what to consume I just block everything. TBN is still going to get its ad revenue whether I block ads or not. I subscribe to multiple newsletters, like Messicks. They send out helpful tips and reminders and show you some sales information that is usually 100% interesting.

Download free, Adblocker ultimate extension. If an add gets thru, just click on the add and select "block this element", and it disappears.

Ad space are generally rented / brokered out to the highest bidder(s). They are sold in blocks and the site owner may not even be aware of the content.

Good Targeting (yeah, right) is supposed to manage what and where ads get placed. Part of cookie tracking and user profile sort of stuff.

Just checked my current extension(s) and I am using Ublock Origin Lite.

Seems to work well.

Need some help on how to find and install the extension?
