Too much tractor, too little, or just buyer's remorse

Just a quick thought. If it possible that the deck isn't properly adjusted and the steering may be out of alignment. Before you get rid of something that might be exactly what you where looking for in the first place have a serious discussion with your dealer and give them ONE chance to make you THRILLED.

I agree with others make sure you get what you wan't.

About the cut, I have a 100 series and a 700 series, both have a nice cut. Makes me think your deck isn't setup properly.

Agree with most replies. Have owned a JD 200 series and two different 300 series and all mowed well if set up correctly. Appears your dealer did not set up the mower correctly. (Deck, steering, etc.) Any unit just out of the box will need to be properly set up at the dealer to operate correctly. 4WS, if you think you need it move up to a zero turn. Gardening? You will be better satisfied in the long run with a good quality tiller, not an add on to a "Mower".
Lots to consider. As stated tell your dealer your concerns and if he does not correct by setting up the mower correctly....return it. Whatever you do don't step down to the 100 series. You think you are unhappy now, with a 100 series you will be VERY unhappy.

Just the fact that you HAVE doubts probably suggests that you should return it.
AVOID getting talked into something else, for at least another 30 days.

I often say that mowers are for mowing - tractors are for pulling (see etymological origin).

Maybe there isn't a good enough "between" compromise tractor/mower for you, your purposes, your expectations, your property, etc.
That is OK, you may well finish up with several/many machines of several different types and sizes.

Others here have trodden that path {and worn it very bare}
