Well, here it is! Not all of the parts are in stock yet and they will be delivered when the arrive. First day with the new Bobcat and by the end she’s got almost 5 hours on the clock.

I did some brush mowing of blackberries, back bladed a large parking area, and hauled a ton of cedar split rail fencing. I’m still getting used to the controls and still have to think about how to move to make the machine do what I want, but so far so good. Tomorrow is more of the same and will also grade the shoulders of my road.

Salesman dropped off the box blade today and brought with him a set of pallet forks to unload the box, then sold me the forks for $600 including tax. I didn’t realize how much I would actually use them.

With 10 hours on the machine I’m super happy with my purchase, the customer service, and the buying experience on a whole.

Nice looking machine. Amazing how handy they can be.

Nice tractor! I'm about 4 weeks out from receiving my 2040. How long was the wait and what size box blade did you go with? I picked up the 60" because I wasn't sure if the 72" was going to have traction issues.

My tractor was actually in stock. I ended up waiting about 4 weeks for delivery because I wanted cruise control, ballast in the tires and the forward hydraulics installed before I took delivery. It was supposed to only take a week, then it was two, then only half the parts came in... Typical delays “because of COVID”. I doubt it was Bobcat specific, they were saying the same thing to everyone no matter if they purchased a 100k excavator or a 30k tractor.

During that 4 weeks the box blade and the mower deck came in as well. Still waiting on a ballast box, quick connect and a grapple.

I went with the 60” box blade because of potential traction issues. It really was a non issue however, my 60” blade with the teeth down just drug right thru my soil without issue.

I’ll likely order a finish mower and the sun shade top within a few months.

Well hopefully my lead time takes care of the implement delays. What grapple did you end up buying? The EA lead time of 12 weeks is too much for me to wait so I've been looking around for something similar.

My dealer said once the tractor is in they can have it prepped in under a week (third function and rear remotes).

Went with the Blue Diamond Light Duty. It was a 6 week wait, made in the USA, and wasn’t so heavy that it took away too much from the loader.

What did you get plumbed in the rear of your machine?

Congratulations, great tractor - I hope. Will be in the operators seat of my 2025 in 3 weeks or less! Glad to hear the 60" box blade ripped thru your soil without issue because I went with the 72" and have been worried it was the wrong call.

I got the pair of rear remotes mostly to future proof against any implements that might require it. I'm probably going to pick up a hydraulic top link once i get my tractor.
