Thanks to all of you I have now have a 2210 with a FEL
Have to read all the literature, but am more than ready to put er to work. Any special precautions on break in period, fluids ect. Rather have real life examples rather than just what the owners manual gives me.
Thanks again

panman,

Congrats! I hope you like your 2210 as well as I like mine! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif As for the break-in, my dealer said work her well for the first 50 hrs. Then close adherance to the break-in schedule is required. I used my dealer for this, and yes it was expensive, but it gave me peace of mind. What attachments did you finally go with?

Congrats,
If you end up like me, you will love this tractor. Remember, it is all work and no fun ( at least as far as wives are concerned).

Panman...congrats on your new tractor. Mine will be year old the end of May, It is getting it's 250 hour service tomorrow. It's been a great work horse for me and has helped tame my 4 + acres. Very few hours have been spent mowing. Check out my pics and you will see a little of what I have done to put all those hours on.

Panman, congradulations on your new tractor! I know you will love it as I do mine! Which I have only had a week, and as it rained about 4"" last weekend and this weekend doesn't sound to promising either, but I have to get that porch project done that somebody seems to think is pretty important too! Althrough I did get to dig out my first stump with the Woods BH6000 BH, huge fun! Very powerful for a small hoe. Hopefully my BH skills will improve, and soon! (as in more seat time!) Enjoy! It's a great tractor!

One word of advice, take the rear ballast recommendations
seriously. came close to tipping mine over sideways a couple of times with a full bucket of dirt on slightly uneven ground with loaded tires and a 500 pound cement weight on the 3pt.
Otherwise I love the tractor.

2210, fel, 54"mmm, 60"bb, rototiller, 60" loader mount hyd snowplow, 48' chisel plow, 10k pto gen.

I would offer a few comments on the 2210:
Service:a) run it hard like 2210fan suggested and then change all the fluids, you need to really seat those rings and it comes with "breakin oil", so enjoy some hard work; b) service the tranny, oil, and front axle as recommended in the book at 50-hours and I would further suggest going ahead and purchasing those items now, because those tranny filter are sometimes not "in stock" and you might wait a day or so and thus make unnecessary trips to the dealer.

Operation: a) I would not unestimate the need for rear ballast; b) unless you are familiar with a tractor/loader do not take turns with the loader well up in the air or it will flip; in fact, you will be amazed how quickly these narrow machines will get upset with a loader in a tight spot; c) I would run the rear lights inside, so you don't tear them off against a tree, been there done that. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

thanks
I am going to do the light thing (run them inside) because I have already given them a jolt. They are just about as high as a fence post.
What about this rear balast?
Liquid in tires, carry all, ballast box or combination af all ideas

I have the tires filled and use about 400 lbs ballast in ballast box and even that sometimes is not enough with full load and slopes. I put concrete patio blocks in the ballast box although I might change to something else that is a different size as they tend to rattle back and forth. Maybe concrete pavers would fit better. The ideal weight would be lead bricks or BBs.
