Took delivery of my TC40DA

Needed a smaller machine to get into garages etc.of the houses I build.Finally decided on the new holland.It seems to be a very well balanced machine with regards to the power to weight ratio.
I also purchased a hydro front mounted 12'' auger for all the porch/deck footings,it works very well.It has a 16la loader w/ bolt on cutting edge,48'' bradco pallet forks and front and rear work lights.I have pictures that I'll attempt to post.Never done it before,hope it works.

257NH, I have had my TC 40D for 2 1/2 years now and it's done everything I have asked of it and more. Good luck with the new tractor.

That's a nice tractor and some really nice tools. Congratulations!

Did you get a boxblade too? I think you are going to need a little rear ballast if you get a bucket full of dirt or the pallet forks loaded. You will find a lot of uses around the jobsite. Just look out for nails in the tires.

Cheers on another Tractor & a beauty at that. Boy is that front mount auger sure sweet. Could have used something like that a couple hundred times by now.

You know Jinman I read your post before I left for work and I was going to reply and tell you that my rears were filled with rimgaurd,but mornings being what they are,I didnt have time.
Funny how things go because as it turns out I was loading sone heavy clay base loam into a dump truck and ended up with 2 feet of air under my rear tires.The bucket wasnt even heaped.I'm told from someone standing their watching that I was pretty close to going over.
Well at least into the truck bed.Lesson learned,on the way home I stopped and bought a ballast box.It's in the back of my truck now.And will be installed monday morning.

Nice tractor. Makes work a breeze. I must warn you though it is like a disease. The next thing you know your at the dealer trying out another one and some how an order is placed. Don't ask if it is catching. I lot drove my new one today. My neighbor was at the dealership in the process of buying a new TC 35. It might be an " air borne " disease cause I know it travelled a quarter mile .
After a couple tire lifts one realizes how important the rear ballast is. Enjoy!

Wow! That's quite a story.

I found out when I was building my house that I needed rear tire ballast in addition to my boxblade. When I finally bought a rock bucket and equiped it with a grapple, I could wait no longer. I filled my rear tires and always keep my boxblade on too when I'm hauling heavy loads out front.

I'm attaching a picture of my forks loaded. My forks attach to my bucket and they are 48" long. That puts loads way, way, out front. The load in the picture is actually 8' long lumber. The picture makes it look much shorter because of the angle. I took this picture because the right rear tire is actually airborne. I could put my hand under it. This is with a heavy boxblade on the rear and going uphill. Can you imagine where my tractor's nose would have been if I were going downhill?

You are lucky that you had a close call and got some real world "pucker factor" experience without a bad outcome. I've had the same experiences and I try to keep my wits and don't re-make those mistakes. We have nice tools that will do a lot for us. I love your setup. I just hope it lives up to your expectations. It's a really nice rig!

Wow! You guys are starting to scare me! Will I need a ballast or should the 758C be enough weight in the back to counterbalance a loader? Should have my TC40da w/i a week and cannot wait! It's as exciting as closing on my house

The backhoe will be enough ballast, but don't get careless when you have it off. Awareness is the key to safety.

I have been looking for a diecast model of a Class III and have not seen one. I've been watching Ebay which has several New Holland diecast but never seen a Class III.

I have been wondering if they even ever made one of the Class III Boomers.

First as everyone has commented and I agree what a great setup!

My only question is did you buy the auger and quick attach assembly for it from NH? When I was buying my 40DA a year ago they said that there was not enough flow for a "front mount" auger. You have exactly what i wanted. So how well does it work? Any flow problems? Can you list the specs on the auger, brand, flow etc?
