I hated paying the $37 price, but these 10 inch Knipex pliars are much better than any channel lock type pliars I've ever used.

KNIPEX Tools - Cobra Water Pump Pliers (8701250), Red,10-Inch

While using one tool kit this AM, I was reminded how much I dislike the foam inserts they use to keep sockets in place because the foam inserts will blow away with the lightest wind.

So, I was ready to click "buy it now" on the craftsman in the metal tool box, but didn't want to go find my wallet the other night. My mom texts me the next morning and says she got my son a craftsman set for Christmas. Glad I didn't order it.

I've been impressed, or atleast not disappointed with the Quinn, Kobalt, and some limited Husky stuff Craftsman, they used to be great, but now... they are not really a step above the other store brands, and maybe a step behind.

Someone mentioned piecing together a kit, and yes, you get better tools, less garbage, and fits you better; but it sure is nice having an entire kit, with storage/organization, when you crawl under a truck to find that one 12mm stud, mixed will 7 13mm nuts...

I used to be better about keeping up with loose sockets, but finally realized that having a case that marks where each socket goes keeps me from loosing even more of them. These cases would be better if they left some extra storage room for the things they don't include that you actually need for your own use situation, but they don't.

I have a huge amount of random sockets/wrenches, ect. 1 set of Quinn (95% complete) and 1 Kobalt (75% complete) where found on the road, but the Quinn case is screwed; and the Husky didn't have a case at all; also a Stanely 3/8" set and that case just fell apart over time; so now, it's tubberware bowls of mixed sockets... Old school Craftsman from the 80s/90s, and then the individual sockets when you could find the right one, and bought a single at Autozone. Makes things a mess

I spend more time looking for my tools than using them sometimes. That's where a case helps save me from myself.

I have considered 3d printing a real organizer; but to do it right, you really need a measurement on each socket, 3d model it all up, and then print it. For say, 100 piece set, that would take me weeks to measure, model, and print

Edit; let's face it, I'd probably model it wrong twonor three times; use $90 in filament, and have 5 failed prints...
