Toolbox mod complete for BX 2230 (pics)

Nice job with the brackets, no holes to worry about. My Case DX comes w/ a small toolbox behind the seat. I am going to replace it w/ a larger one -24". It looks like I can use the existing bracket to mount it by adding a small shelf extension to it. One thing I have found is that many of the plastic tool boxes do not have a raised water seal lip around the interior of the lid. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif That lets any water get in at the latch points. Still looking for one that has a good seal all around the top. Anothetr thing I have to watch is raising up the 3ph all the way to make sure the box doesn't get dented. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Good point about the water seal. I also forgot to mention that I used hex bolts with wing nuts to mount the toolbox to the bracket so it takes less that a minute to remove it if you need to

Also, since I am using u-bolts the entire bracket and be positioned higher or lower if needed.
