Well the L4610 has got no shortage of power, so IM sure I will not even know its gone! Have been digging in the sand pit in 3rd gear at about 1600 rpm and the hyd are more like my 350 case, just stick the buckte and pull the leaver back, up she comes/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Rich,

That is the first thing I noticed after trading from a 2WD Massey to a 4WD Kubota is the front loader works like I always though it should. I have never got real good at leveling the bucket to go in on the ground so usually take a little grass with me. I painted a ring on the level indicator and that was a 1000% improvement, but it is pretty sensitive and sometimes I don't get it real close.

I wish my bucket did that, mine has always been to slow and weak for me but I have learned to live with it. I went by the dealer today and was shooting some numbers back and forth he still is way off what I'm willing to pay but in time he will come around.
He also had a Gil blade HBL96 and he gave me a price of $677. I almost jumped on it but I must check around first like I always tell him. He said that was his bottom line.

He also had a L5450 that is one tough looking tractor it had the T-N-T on it Mark you would love this I know I sure did. He is working me a price on the T-N-T and a couple of other items I was grilling him about. But the tnt has one joystick to control both the side links and top link its a great looking setup. I think I'll sit down when he gives me the price./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Gordon,

I just order the hydraulic top link and would love to have the tilt link, but I don't know how to rig another set of SCV valves and control handles without spending a lot of money. As I recall, Kubota gets about $700 for a second set! I saw one with 3 levers that mounted on the right fender and controlled the top, tilt, and still left one for the implement in addition to the original SCV that came on the tractor. If you find out any pricing on how to do all of this, would appreciate it if you could post it. That at least lets us dream about it.

I spent about equal time last night twisting the top and tilt by hand as I did riding the tractor. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I bet Mark knows all of these answers and is just letting us sweat. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Rich - No, you'll never miss it. In fact, you'll get more than 5% worth of power in traction improvement from being able to control your speed precisely for the job you're doing at the moment. Give it just enough speed to keep from breaking traction to begin with, when you're dealing with non-mud conditions, and you'll keep from digging yourself into a hole that you then have to climb out of. In mud, goose it a little to clear the tires if you need to. Whatever you need, it's instantly at your disposal. I want to hear what you think of it after you use it a while. It'll take a little bit to get completely used to it, and appreciate all the subtle advantages. It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Let's see here - comments to Gordon and Wen in the same message; how will I ever do this without botching it?

Gordon - I'd like to see the joystick TNT kit, sho 'nuff. I haven't heard of that one. Sounds like it would really be slick, though. I don't suppose that L5450 had an HST tranny, did it? /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Wen - You can get a Prince or Cross two-spool valve for double-acting cylinders for a couple hundred bucks or so if you don't mind having the thing mounted on top of the fender. That certainly brings the price way down.

On the B20 I learned real quick that the hydro pedal is not the foot throttle. You must switch the way you approach the pile compared to a gst but once you get the hang of it--Yes you are right Mark it is very very productive compared to the gst./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Facts is Facts and I proved it myself to myself./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I never knew there was a L5450 until today I walked right by it and stopped dead in my tracks. Then I walked around back and as they say Woop there it is. To my dismay only a hydraulic shuttle just like mine except he had a fancy name for it. No hst in that model=no Mark
That tnt was a slick setup one joy stick for both the toplink and both side links. It had another valve mounted right next to it for a remote plus had another remote with the handle just left of the seat. The valve for the tnt was mounted just in front of the rops on the fender.
I asked the price of the tractor, its sold came in that way already sold. He never gave me the price of the tractor but no big deal. I was in awe of that tnt very clean. I asked the price and he is going to get in touch with me tomorrow about that and a couple of other things as well.
I like it./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I need it./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I must have it./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Until I find the price out /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
But one never knows it might only be a grand-
and you didn't even botch it up

Gordon - Um, lemme see: Does the phrase "Gag, retch, & stall" pretty much describe what happened when you treated the HST pedal like a throttle? I've talked to a few folks who hated HST because they hadn't figured that out yet.

That sounds like experience talking. But yes you are 110% correct, but I only stalled it once and of course I did the (look around). To make sure no one saw that dumb move! Then for the next hour or so in the back of my head each time I came up to the pile, not the throttle, not the throttle, not the throttle, old habits die hard for me anyway. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
