Hello - I am looking for a tooth bar for my 49" bucket on my 200CX FEL. There are two people on eBay selling them: Yankeewarehouse ($190+shipping) and United Steel Works ($230+shipping). Both companies said they need to custom make the bar because the JD 49" bucket is not standard. Does anyone know where to get an off-the-shelf tooth bar for the JD 49" bucket?

Try Markham Welding. I ordered a toothbar from them Tuesday and it arrived Saturday.

A 53" toothbar with seven teeth (2 more than standard) shipped from Tennessee to Michigan cost me just under $300.

Markham does make a really good unit. I have an ATI which is way, way overbuilt for a 200CX, really like it but much more than I need with a 2320.

Joe, have you tried yours out yet?

They are actually located in North Carolina. They gave me a price of $289 + $36 shipping for a 73" tooth bar. Seems like a pretty good price.

Femco can take care of you.
Oops, my bad, I was in such a hurry and have been considering the FEMCO foldable ROP. I really meant Markham, they were great to work with for my toothbar. :)

Ed, I have not mounted my toothbar yet. That'll be the 4th of July project, I guess. I hate to drill holes in that nice, new, green paint, but it must be done!

I just wonder how much a Markham tooth bar weighs for a 61 inch bucket. I got the JD toothbar for my 2520. and its brutal. its indistrutable. but it weighs about 150 pounds. :) the machine handles it fine. it me thats the problem. I am a big guy. and while your working , you dont run over to the shop and through it on. its a beast to handle....:( its really made for a 3000 seris. I think i read somewhere that the Markham toothbar was about 60 pounds. this would make it so much easier to put on and remove. i might concider this. does anyone know how much one would weigh for a 61 inch JD bucket...;)

werent you going with a 2520 and why so small a bucket? 61" are a ideal size for the 2520, as well as the 53"

I probably have a markham for the standard 61" bucket - its heavy but I think its about 100 lbs or less. It wont break and is very well made, and the teeth are replaceable

I called Malissa at Markham. and ask her about a toothbar for the 61 inch JD bucket. she said it weighs about 70 pounds...:)

and would be 231$ and 26$ shipping to GA. I may really give this some thought. that would weigh hafe what the JD toothbar weighs.....;)
much easier to handle.

Yup. I went for the 2520 but elected to keep my 49" bucket. That is the horsepower per bucket ratio - the HP:FEL ratio. Very scientific process where I can put a more intense amount of power on a smaller surface area - LOL.

Actually, I need the smaller bucket for a big project I am doing under my deck. I was afraid the bigger buckets would not fit between the posts.

If you do go for a new toothbar 7 teeth work better than the standard 5. Just need to specify when ordering. It does cost more. Your JD toothbar for the 61 inch bucket sounds like my ATI it is made for skidloaders and is way overbuilt for my 2320. Works really great though.

I agree with duc. once the deck project is done. your going to find. the 2520 is way to big for that ity bitty bucket. :( and a 61 inch bucket will now cost 500 bucks....;) as for digging. if you would of seen the size of the posion ivy roots i dug out around some pine trees today with that 61 inch bucket.
I dont think dig force is a problem....:D

This is the same tooth bar and bucket from my old 4100, which I just switched buckets to the 2520
