Tooth bar on a 3400

I agree about the hand-held drill and safety, and about stepping the drill sizes so you're not taking too much at once. But for pressure, actuall you want a good amount of pressure combined with slow bit speed and lots of cutting oil. Higher speed or too little pressure (rubbing, not cutting) generates more heat than the cutting liquid can remove, and that's what kills the bit. Keybal is right, though, the bucket is not hardened and should drill fairly easy.
