Question ? I've read about tooth bars some here and want to know what they help you do??? I'm digging a basment and need to move alot of dirt sand gravel that I have piled up with a back hoe. I know that it is a big job and I am having trouble filling the bucket from the piles. will a bucket teeth help ?? I'm looking for anyones experiences doing this Thanks all. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Loose material works just as easily without the bucket, but if that pile has set there awhile, gotten wet, settled, hardened, etc. the toothbar will make it much much easier to dig into and get a bucketful.

I have a tooth bar for my BX2200. As Bird indicated, it isn't needed if your are working with loose material. If you have compacted soil it makes a big difference. Sounds like you could use a tooth bar!
