I know this topic ranks among the most posted topics here on TBN, but I have a bit of a decision to make and would like to solicit some opinions.
My TC35D has a heavy duty 72" bucket with a bolt on cutting edge ( in addition to the small welded on edge or lower bucket lip ).
My question....do I get a toothbar that fits over the whole arrangement or remove the cutting edge and install the toothbar ? I plan on leaving the toothbar on for 85 % of the warm season and removing it completely for snow. By removing the bolt on edge, I save $ 75 on the toothbar and also don't push the teeth that extra 1" - 2" below the lower edge of the bucket. By leaving it on, I gain the strength of the 1/2" edge, but I am concerned about the teeth being so low. Should I be ??
What have others done with the NH bucket ??
Thanks in advance.
