We didn't have a drill so we just shot a hole in the side. :mur:

A bullet for each side.....or just one well placed high powered magnum load? :confused2:

Jim, No holes nowhere so Im thinking it is a standard pin-on bucket and no, I didn't run out to the shop through the rain to check.:) Your photoed bucket is not at all like mine except perhaps in shape. The 16LA manual lists the STD bucket about 30 lbs. lighter than the HD and HDQT but I'm not going to weigh it-just live with it and work it.
Gun Guys-I may try that!

I drilled mine at the front of the slot to be able to rotate it out of the way for short term needs. The act of digging keeps the bar tight to the cutting edge in my case. I'm also not fretting over cutting edge wear as I figure that most average CUT owners will never wear out a cutting edge with normal usage.

I did the same...slots in my toothbar are at least 4" in length.

I mounted my Markham tooth bar with the holes drilled in the extreme rear of the slots, so if i had to 'back drag' it wouldn't 'pop' off. Guess I never thought of the loosen/flip-up option..........~Scotty

I find a toothbar to be a PITA for backdragging, hence the reason I went with the loosen/flip up option.

I think you did it right, I just never thought of it! ~S

I did another more thorough static test to see if I could get the toothbar to roll back if I drilled the two holes at the front of the slots and no soap. It's now mounted with the 3/4" bolts at the extreme inboard end of the slots. I also drilled out a couple of Simpson foundation plates to increase the washer area on the outside of the bucket. Just a slight bit of noticeable flex but seemingly nothing to get hung about. Done deal. Thanks all.
