Just finished my first welding project with my new Miller175, toothbar for my BX22. Welded the shanks to 3/8in steel plate. The shanks have a lip which fits over/below the front edge of FEL. The teeth were a press fit on the shanks. Got the shanks and teeth from local Kubota dealer. Finished off with some Kubota orange. Works terrific.

How much did all your teeth cost, the ones on the bar /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Total for shanks and teeth was about $60. I bargained them down a little...they had a LOT of dust. The steel plate was a scrap piece from local steelyard for $12. Angle iron at ends was garage scrap. Total came in at about $75. Fits just as good (or better IMO) as the $300 rigs. My neighbor got one at tractorsmart for his 2200, tried to return it when he saw mine.

Do dealer's usaully keep those teeth in stock? For that price I would build one too!

Do they have parts numbers?

I see the two bolts, one on each side. Is that the only thing holding it into the bucket?
I guess I was wondering if it was removable or not.

I'm trying to find smaller teeth to put on the 9" bucket for my Caddigger backhoe bucket. Anyone have any ideas where I can get them? The local dealer only has the teeth, not the shank with the tooth.

Hambone...the toothbar is held by the two bolts on each end of the FEL, plus the "lip" on each shank. Makes for a pretty snug fit. I welded the shanks to the steel plate while it was attached to the FEL, to minimize bowing from the welding. And, yes, it is removable.

Dave, I got the shanks/teeth for mine from Dorning in Ontario Ca, near the airport. They had a large selection.

Dave you can order box blade teeth, thay are the right size for a small Ditch Witch hoe i rebuilt last year. just the right size i did have to build the shank but the was easy with sqare bar and a grinder.

Bobcat and Deere can get the shanks, just get a good parts person.
Have them look under hoe or loader buckets.
My Deere parts list that came w/ my SSL has them listed but it is at home right now.
